Alfardan Auto launches two new 1 Series models

Alfardan Automobiles, the exclusive importers of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce in Qatar, has launched two 1 Series models the BMW 135i coupe and cabriolet - with Twin-Turbo technology.

With its 3.0 litre twin-turbocharged light alloy and magnesium straight-six petrol engine, the 135i delivers 306 horsepower, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100kph in 5.3 seconds, and up to an electronically limited top speed of 250kph.
“The BMW 135i is a highly anticipated arrival in Qatar, both in Coupe and Convertible forms, due to its unique design and class-leading performance,” Alfardan Automobiles’ acting general manager Naim Majdalani said.
”More than just performance, the 135i delivers a smooth and comfortable drive, providing a host of technology and safety features that make this car an attractive option for the Qatari public,” he explained.
The 135i Coupe offers even more performance and a striking look thanks to the BMW M components. Special features include an M Aerodynamic kit for additional downforce at speed, better brake cooling and enhanced aesthetics, and a sports suspension that offers higher traction and reduced body roll with 18-inch wheels and performance tires.
The sports suspension also includes a high-performance brake system incorporating six-piston fixed calipers on the front and two-piston fixed calipers at the rear. BMW’s highly regarded Dynamic Stability Control Plus system is standard, with its five additional safety features of Soft stop, Hill start assistant, Brake drying, Brake Pre-tensioning and Brake fade compensation.
“Using the same design as the three and five-door models, the 135i comes in a coupĂ© body to emphasise the sporting nature of the car,” Majdalani observed while maintaining the end result is a striking looking vehicle that surpasses expectations, both in terms of interior and exterior design, as well as undiluted performance.
Combining unique dynamic and unmistakable design elements, with a powerful and muscular body, the 135i’s long hood gives it a particularly nimble appearance, while the short overhangs, long wheelbase and large frameless doors sit on a body with a striking shoulder line for a modern interpretation of BMW’s characteristic look.
The control console for auxiliary functions is integrated smoothly and harmoniously into the dashboard. The controller featured in the trademark iDrive system with the optional navigation system is integrated in the centre console, again following BMW’s characteristic design while allowing the driver to control all secondary and comfort function such as communication, air conditioning, entertainment and navigation with minimal effort.
“The interior is also uniquely designed to match the 135i’s character, and can be customised to each owner’s preference and taste. BMW’s unique iDrive system offers drivers an easy to use interface that allows for a manageable yet advanced system,” the official said.
Galvanised pearl gloss surfaces adorn the interior door handles, the glove compartment handle, the radio’s rotary knobs, the knobs of the automatic air conditioning system, the iDrive Controller, and the ornamental trim strips featured on the sports steering wheel giving the car an air of lushness and luxury, while rounding up a uniquely designed package.
