Jaguars new XF surpasses sales expectations

Jaguar dealers across the Middle East have just launched the new XF saloon but targets have already gone beyond pre sales expectations with all allotted units sold out.
Mark Eedle, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for Jaguar Middle East attributed the success to pre launch excitement created at the Kuwait and Dubai Motor Shows.

UAE, Kuwait, Oman and Lebanon have been the strongest markets with over 75% of sales being generated out of these four countries.

'The reception we’ve been getting from customers across the region has been phenomenal. We’ve got a sell-out with the new XF. This success is reaffirmation that our new design strategy is on track with meeting and exceeding customer requirements. The XF is a bold new step that shows the world Jaguar truly knows how to design beautiful, fast cars,'

added Eedle.

Having received excellent reviews from customers and media from around the world, the new XF was voted 'Car of the Year' at the 2008 What Car? awards. This was another addition to a list that already included a host of significant awards like 'Car of the Year’ from The Sun newspaper, 'Interior of the Year’ from CAR magazine and the 'Design Award’ from Autocar magazine.

The new XF is available with three different engine variants: 3.0 litre V6 and 4.2 litre (natural or supercharged variants), all featuring Jaguar’s six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted 'paddles’ for manual gear selection (Jaguar Sequential Shift).

Cool cat: Arden releases official details on Jaguar XF AJ 21

Last month, we got a sneak peak at Arden's interpretation of the Jaguar XF, with its aggressive front fascia, LED running lights and rear brake cooling ducts integrated into the side skirts. Now, we've got the official details on the AJ 21 and as is almost always the case, the mods are hardly skin-deep.

The top of the line, supercharged V8 engine has been stroked out from 4.2- to 4.5-liters, with output cresting the 500 hp mark. To make better use of those additional ponies, Arden developed a sports suspension to keeps things planted at speed, while 21-inch "Sportline" wheels are up to the task of combining a bit of style with a dose of functionality. Arden is developing packages for the entire range of XFs, but if we had to choose one, this is it.
